THOUGHTS HELD IN MIND - 3rd Principle

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

Greetings Dear Unity Friends & Family: Our current Sunday morning study is on the Silent Unity booklet: "Five Principles for Spiritual Living." This Sunday, we will discuss Principle Three "Thoughts Held in Mind," also known as the "Law of Mind Action." Principle Three emphasizes that "Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought." In our Sunday morning lesson, we will use the Affirmation and Affirmative Prayer treatments prepared by the three Unity Ministers who have shared their thoughts on the 3rd Principle. We have five copies left of the booklet: "Five Principles for Spiritual Living. These booklets are a free gift to you from Unity Church of the Valley and you may receive your copy when you attend the Sunday service. This Sunday we also celebrate Father's Day. Several members of our congregation have told me that their earthly fathers have made their transition into the Spiritual Dimension. I have also known those who did not have a loving relationship with their biological father; but did feel a caring, protective relationship with someone who stepped into the "Father" role, such as a stepparent, uncle or other friend/relative of their family. Metaphysically, we understand the One Power and One Presence to contain both the masculine and feminine qualities: Wisdom and Love. On Mother's Day, we honored the Divine Feminine. In both the Old and the New Testament, the female characters represent the nurturing quality of Love. The male characters represent the guiding quality of Wisdom/Good Judgment. Ann Louise Christensen, our Music Director, supports the Sunday service with her loving presence and her talent, Marshall Hall is our Sound Board Technician, Rick & Patti Halliday and Janet Bailey prepare the coffee and set out our donated refreshments for the Hospitality time (we meet in Chaffee Hall after the service). We are grateful for the members of our congregation with their faithful attendance and assistance to create a loving, inclusive experience for all who attend Unity Church of the Valley. PRAYERFUL REMINDER: Silent Unity requests that at 6:00 p.m. we hold the Ukraine & Russia in prayer. We affirm a peaceful resolution to all conflict and disagreements between these two countries and know that "When two or more are gathered in my Name, there I Am in their midst." (Jesus Christ) If you have a personal prayer request, please contact: Nancy Buhl: Prayer Director: (310) 578-6193 (no evening calls, please); Unity Church of the Valley office: (818) 249-4396 (you may leave a voice mail message) or Silent Unity Prayer Ministry: (816) 969-2000 (online: unity.org/prayer). Loving Blessings to you, Rev Jeri Linn
