Minister’s Message
It is comforting to remember Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays of the past, especially if you had children or grandchildren celebrating with you. For many of us at Unity Church of the Valley, those children and grandchildren have grown up with families of their own.
Advent is the four-week period of spiritual preparation prior to Christmas Day. The 1st Sunday in the Advent Season this year is Nov. 27th. Everyone who attends the Sunday Service on Nov. 27th will receive a copy of “A Christmas of Light and Peace.” The message for Sunday, Nov. 27th is: “Hope and Faith.” I believe that I have ordered enough copies of the Advent booklet; but it is easy enough to order more copies from our Unity Wholesale Account.

Unity Events (Nov – Dec. 2022)
Nov. Birthday Sunday: Nov. 6, 2022: Patti Halliday plans on bringing a delicious dessert for all of us to enjoy. Happy Birthday to our November Birthdays!
Remember that on Nov. 5th, we “fall back 1 hour.” We also celebrate Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11th and Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 25th.
NOTE: This year, the 1st Sunday of Advent is Nov. 27th. Everyone who attends the Sunday service on the 27th will receive a free copy of the Silent Unity Booklet: “A Christmas of Light and Peace.”
NOTE: Our Church Anniversary as the Unity Church of the Valley is one November 15, 2022: our 68th Year! Our Articles of Incorporation were dated by the CA Secretary of State on May 23, 1949.
Our former church home on 2817 Montrose Avenue, CA was dedicated in a church service on November 15, 1955.
