Quest for Love

Yes, here in Southern California, we are experiencing very high temperatures; but, I know that the summer heat will not last forever!  Our current Silent Unity booklet, "Turn on the Light: the Timeless Wisdom of Eric Butterworth honors a beloved Unity minister who was a scholar and theologian who loved to share metaphysical interpretations of the Bible and explain them in easy-to-understand terms as they applied to daily living.

Our Lesson this Sunday focuses on our innate desire for human connection: the search or quest for love.  To quote Eric Butterworth: "Within every person there is a hunger and thirst to express love, to get ourselves in tune with the cosmic flow at the root of our being. Start by accepting the biblical statement: 'God is love, much in the same way as God is life, God is intelligence, God is power and add: God is peace.'"

In your meditation and prayer times, consider that you were born with the strong impulse for love within you and that you have the ability to be divine love and to radiate divine love to all those with whom you attract to your life.  Yes, you can literally be the magnet for love and the magnet for healing, guidance & prosperity.  You are a mighty magnet for your highest good!

We are grateful to share the Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) Sanctuary on Sundays and enjoy hospitality in Chaffee Hall after our service.  The air conditioning is in very good order, so you will be comfortable for meditation, prayer, music and our Lesson.

Peace and Love to you,

Rev. Jeri Linn
