Greetings Dear Unity Friends & Family:
In the Bible (starting with the Book of Genesis), when you read about the creation of mankind, you find the words: "Let us make man in Our image," please do not take this as a literal statement of a Male and a Female God. There is only One Power & One Presence in the Universe. This One Power can be understood as containing both Feminine and Masculine traits that express in all creation: Humans, Animals, Vegetation and minerals.
Metaphysically, women in the Bible represent Intuition, our feeling nature and the creative, nurturing qualities within us. Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, states in The Revealing Word that "The divine feminine in man is the mother phase of being. Male characters in the Bible represent the illumined intellect, wisdom and the desire to be protective.
This coming Sunday, May 8th 2022 is Mother's Day. A day we celebrate our actual birth mothers or those who acted in a loving, nurturing manner with us. That includes step-mothers or adoptive mothers, as well. On June 19th, 2022, we will celebrate Father's Day. We have within us the qualities of both the Divine Feminine and the Divine Father. The goal is to let them express through us in a balanced, harmonious way.
Blessing both of these two important Holidays is our talented Music Director, Ann Louise Christensen. On our Gratitude List we acknowledge: Marshall Hall as our Sound Board Volunteer; Patti and Rick Halliday and Janet Bailey as our Hospitality volunteers. Everyone is invited to attend our Hospitality time after the Sunday service in Chaffee Hall.

Silent Unity Prayer Ministry has asked 21 Nations to pray for the Ukraine Nation. In the United States, we are asked to pray at 6:00 p.m. (no matter what the time zone may be). During our Sunday morning service, we set aside time to give a blessing to the World for Peace and we are focusing our prayers on the Ukraine. Thank you for your kind participation in Silent Unity's request.
