This coming Sunday is May 5, 2024 "Cinco de Mayo!" Our Lesson is "Healing Our Finances!" Learning the basic principles of creating a steady flow of Divine Ideas that produce tangible results in our finances is one of the first steps we all learn in Unity (or in any other New Thought Ministry) in order to be secure in our finances.
In time, as we read inspiring books by New Thought authors such as Charles & Myrtle Fillmore; Rev. Dr. Catherine Ponder, and classic Unity teachers such as Rev. Eric Butterworth and one of my early mentors, Rev. Charles Roth. We learn that "financial support and financial peace of mind" is based on Divine Ideas. Divine Ideas inspire us with ways in which we can be creative and ways in which we can give to the world around us. In other words, Giving is always a way to receive your blessings!
Of course, we never want to complain about "there never seems to be enough money; or I can't believe how much groceries and gas is costing me today, etc. We do want to praise & be thankful for good that we do have at hand, plus feeling that our Father-Mother God pours out expected and unexpected blessings, all the time.
So, if you need money, use the example from our elder Brother, Jesus when he fed the multitude with a few fish and loaves of bread that was at hand: "Lifting his eyes and hands to the Heavens, He said:
"Thank you, Father that you hear me and that you hear me always;" then he blessed what was at hand and every bit of food was multiplied. I love this story, mainly because I learned about developing a prosperous frame of mind when I was a new student of Unity principles.
On Sunday, if we have time to share, I think it would mean so much to whoever else attends the service, to briefly state how you put God to the test and prospered!
In affirmative prayer, I call upon the Spirit of the Lord to go before you, making easy, safe and successful your way, for it is your Father-Mother God's Good Pleasure to give you the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the Kingdom of Peace, Life, Plenty and Total Well Being!
