Are You A Mystic?

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

Greetings Dear Unity Friends & Family: This Sunday's Lesson asks the question: "Are You A Mystic?" Here is the brief definition of a Mystic from Charles Fillmore's thoughts in The Revealing Word: "Mystic: One who has intimate, firsthand acquaintance with God; a man (I'm going to interject: or a woman) of prayer. Jesus was the greatest mystic of all ages. Mysticism is The practice of the presence of God; the life of prayer that results in intuitive knowledge and experience of God. The Bible contains more high mysticism than all other books Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. It is necessary to call on one's own spiritual light to enter into the deep mysticism of the Bible." We will experience a guided imagery meditation in our Sunday service to assist everyone with sitting quietly in The Silence. Also, our Music Director, Ann Louise Christensen, will play beautiful music to add to the experience. We are also grateful for our devoted volunteers: Marshall Hall, Sound Board; Rick & Patti Halliday and Janet Bailey with Hospitality after the service. We invite everyone to join in our Hospitality each Sunday. We meet in Chaffee Hall for fellowship, coffee, ice tea or water and delicious side dishes and desserts. This message is being sent on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 because I have two (2) routine medical exams, tomorrow in Pasadena and that will take me out of the office for the day on Thursday. If you have a prayer request, you can call our Unity Church of the Valley Office: 818-249-4396 and leave a voice mail message. You can also call Silent Unity's 24-7 Prayer Ministry at 816 -969-2000 (Online at: unity.org/prayer) Note: When you go online to unity.org, there is a link for Spanish speaking prayer requests. We continue with our prayers for Peace and Tranquility in the Ukraine. Silent Unity has requested 21 Nations to hold prayers for the Ukraine. The time for the United States is 6:00 p.m. each evening (no matter what time zone you live in). Let us all Practice the Presence of God in Prayer, expecting Good Results for all concerned. God Is The Blessing That You Seek, Rev. Jeri Linn
