Thank you for your loving responses to the weekly messages from "This Week at Unity Church of the Valley." So far today, we have only had "sprinkles," but, I have heard that heavy rain is coming and even snow in the higher elevations. Believe me, local residents are excited about the weather forecast!
We are now in December and studying the Lessons during Sundays of Advent. Week 1 on 11 27 2022 was: "Hope & Faith" this coming Sunday on 12 4 2022, week 2; the Lesson is "Peace";
on 12 11 2022; week 3, the Lesson is: "Love" and on 12 18 2022, the 4th week of Advent, the Lesson is "Joy."
We are holding a Christmas Day Service at our normal time at 11:30 am. with refreshments and small gift exchange (marked Male or Female) after the service. It's Christmas!! Let's celebrate with humor and joy as we go through the symbols of the Nativity and share the metaphysical interpretations.
We celebrate Julie McLaine's Birthday on 12 02 2022. Julie is a long time Unity Church of the Valley who now lives in Carlsbad, CA. We all send her love and gratitude for her dedication to Unity Church of the Valley.
Also, a reminder that our Music Director, Ann Louise Christensen and her band are playing on Saturdays in the Montrose Shopping District on Honolulu Ave. from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. On 12 03 2022, they will be playing near Guiseppe's Restaurant (close to Trader Joe's Health Food Grocery Store. Yes, it will be chilly and perhaps, wet, so dress accordingly and have a fun time supporting Ann Louise! They will be playing every Saturday in the Montrose Shopping Park; but their locations will also change every Saturday.
