5th Principle - Living the Truth We Know

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

Keep the faith! Weather forecasts predict cooler temperatures over the next few days! The coming weekend is the 4th of July Holiday, with many folks heading to the beaches or mountains for fun & recreation. Being mindful of campfires, let's all be safe because the hot temperatures usually mean wildfires in Northern California. It is a good Truth practice to use Scientific Affirmations to claim: "Divine Order and Safety in the weather, wherever I am and wherever my loved ones are, as well." We bless the California firefighters and claim their bravery in getting any brush fires under control. We are grateful for their dedication in protecting lives and property.

This Sunday, we complete our series of Lessons based on the Silent Unity booklet, "Five Principles For Spiritual Living." The 5th Principle: "Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows." The Key to accomplishing the 5th Principle is: Patience and Practice! Daily living always seems to provide opportunities in guidance, health, prosperity and relationships to "Live the Truth." Your Soul is Eternal and you have all the time that you need for your journey in this present life and in the many lifetimes ahead that you choose. The purpose of your spiritual journey is to completely express your own Christ Self. It is a mighty purpose; but, I believe we all are worthy and fully capable of completing our spiritual journey. So, take heart and just like our Elder Brother, Jesus said: "Be of good courage, for I have overcome the world!" You will do likewise, my friend.

We are blessed by dedicated volunteers: Marshall Hall, operating the Sound Board; Patti & Rick Halliday and Janet Bailey, making the coffee (or: getting the iced tea ready) and setting out the covered dish items for our refreshments. This Sunday is Birthday Sunday for July Birthdays (I have a birthday on July 20th. Any other July Birthdays??). That is always fun to hear everyone sing "Happy Birthday" and "God is Blessing You, Now!"

Our Music Director, Ann Louise Christensen-Escarrega (Christensen Music) has selected music for the 4th of July and the rest of the Sundays in July. She always includes wonderful music under the "Inspirational Music" on our Order of Service each Sunday. Often, she plays one of her own compositions! Unity Church of the Valley is blessed with talent, love and prosperity! Looking ahead: On Sunday, July 10th, Ann Louise and several talented voices will perform a variety of music, called a "Piano Bar" from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) Sanctuary ... "Free," if you would like to spend part of your afternoon listening to great music. I have read articles on Face book, stating that listening to music is so good for your brain and adds to the endorphins in your whole body. I believe it! Music has often played an important place in any mental, emotional and physical healing program. Plus, it is just FUN to MOVE and GROOVE!

Loving Blessings and Thank You for Your Continued Prayers for Peace
